Purchase Officer

Job Summary:
As a Purchase Officer, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders to support the organization's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contracts.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns as they arise.
Procurement:
- Create RFQ, Bid Analysis and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to maintain stock levels.
- Source products and services to meet the organization's requirements.
Cost Control:
- Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product or service quality.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Quality Assurance:
- Verify the quality of received goods and services and address any discrepancies or defects.
- Ensure that products meet the organization's standards and specifications.
Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to procurement.
- Ensure all procurement activities are in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Generate reports on procurement activities for management review.
Communication:
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs.
- Communicate procurement status, issues, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and optimize inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / BE Mechanical or Chemical, MBA supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and industry best practices.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data for decision-making.
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
