Commis 2 (Chinese/conti/cold Kitchen)

We are seeking a motivated Commis 2 to join our culinary team, specializing in Chinese, Continental, or Cold Kitchen. The Commis 2 will support the kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that kitchen standards are maintained.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the basic preparation and cooking of dishes in your assigned section (Chinese, Continental, or Cold Kitchen).
- Follow the guidance and instructions from senior chefs and Commis 1 to complete tasks efficiently.
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place for the day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.
- Assist in the handling and storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Learn and develop skills in various cooking techniques relevant to your specialty.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Comply with food safety regulations and kitchen policies.
**Qualifications**:
- Some prior experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within Chinese, Continental, or Cold Kitchen sections.
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- A culinary certificate or diploma is an advantage but not required.
