**Jira Administrator - 5 to 7yrs -Pune**

**About this Team**
Primarily, provides support for Jira Data Center, by setting up custom Jira projects and workflows and be point of contact for end users for any support required with Jira, upgrading Jira and server-side maintenance. Also be able to support Atlassian Crowd DC and Atlassian Confluence. In a managerial role, manage the Jira support team, DevOps team and few other platform support teams.
**What he will be doing**:
- Provides leadership for service delivery team including planning, coaching, recruitment, selection, performance development and mentoring.
- Monitors staff performance, works with employees to implement goals and document progress.
- Manages resources in a cost-effective, innovative manner including assisting subordinates in effective use of resources and tools.
- Manages staff to ensure all duties are performed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Develops and implements department policies and procedures.
- Ensures deadlines and production schedules are met and reallocates workloads as necessary.
- Performs resource planning and allocation and supports direct reports in meeting work requirements.
- Assesses strengths and development needs of employees and provides challenging assignments and opportunities for development.
- Manages team expenses within budget constraints and provides financial and quantitative information in support of group and company reporting and goals.
- Executes company policies and practices and serves as a channel for company communications.
- Delivers a computer operations environment that meets all service level agreements, e.g., 24/7 availability, response time parameters, etc. and availability targets.
- Assists other IT management team members to establish strategies and priorities for overall IT operations by analyzing and understanding the current and future IT operation needs.
- Develops and recommends tactical and strategic plans for information processing operations.
- Identifies and recommends cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives within the information processing area.
- Ensures all backup and recovery and disaster recovery processes will meet or exceed business requirements.
- Develops and maintains team standards and procedures that support departmental standards and procedures.
**What you bring**:
At least 5+ years’ experience in a lead role supporting large-scale **Atlassian Jira**, Confluence Data Center instances (Jira customization, maintenance, upgrades) Manage the Jira Admin team, a DevOps team and other platform support teams.
Strong knowledge on installation and maintenance of Atlassian software on Windows and Linux based systems.
Basic DevOps knowledge of tools and technologies - **SVN, BitBucket, Jenkins, CI/CD.**
Set up personal/team dashboards, workflows, reports, set up custom notifications and permissions in Jira projects.
Upgrade Jira/Confluence/Crowd to latest Long Term release versions as needed.
Set up Confluence Spaces for different teams and guide teams on its usage.
Expertise in Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Scaled Agile (SAFe) implementation using Jira.
Awareness of SDLC and its implementation in Jira. Be able to evaluate and implement different Jira plugins based on requirements.
Experience in implementing Atlassian plugins on a large Jira instance - Script runner, Elements Connect, Tempo, Big Picture Enterprise.
Must have excellent communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders (technical or non-technical) and be able to translate business requirements into Jira implementations.
Be able to capture complex audit requirements into Jira workflows.
Experience with Groovy/Java/JavaScript.
Basic knowledge on Active Directory, LDAP and Crowd configuration.
Exposure to other ITSM/Ticketing/PPM tools like Service NOW, Rally, Planview, Jira Align, Planview Hub, TestRail. Experience of integrating Jira with any other tools.
