Key Responsibilities:

- **Curriculum Development and Planning**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the primary school curriculum and educational standards.
- Create and use instructional materials and resources to support math instruction and enhance student learning.
- Plan and conduct lessons that cover foundational math concepts such as numbers, operations, geometry, measurement, and data analysis.
- **Instruction and Classroom Management**:

- Deliver effective math instruction using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for math.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress and understanding of math concepts.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, attendance, and progress.
- **Student Support**:

- Offer additional support to students who may need extra help or enrichment in math.
- Encourage and motivate students to develop their math skills and confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated with the latest developments in primary math education and best practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and strategies for effective math instruction.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Prepare and submit lesson plans, progress reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
- Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as needed.

Qualifications:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification is required.
- **Experience**:

- Previous teaching experience at the primary school level is preferred.
- Familiarity with current educational technologies and methodologies is advantageous.
