Travel Sales Executive

A Travel Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling travel packages, services, and products to individuals and businesses. This role requires excellent customer service, sales skills, and a deep understanding of travel destinations, trends, and logistics. The Travel Sales Executive serves as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless travel experiences tailored to their preferences and budgets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sales and Client Relationship Management**:
- Identify client needs and preferences to recommend appropriate travel packages or services.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Follow up on sales inquiries and convert leads into bookings.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets set by the company.
- **Travel Planning and Coordination**:
- Create customized travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, and other services.
- Coordinate with travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to secure bookings.
- Advise clients on visa requirements, travel insurance, and other essential travel documents.
- **Market Research and Product Knowledge**:
- Stay updated on travel trends, popular destinations, and new travel services.
- Provide clients with accurate information on travel costs, climate, activities, and cultural considerations.
- **Customer Service**:
- Handle client queries and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Provide pre
- and post-sales support, including managing itinerary changes or cancellations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and attention to detail.
- **Operational Duties**:
- Maintain records of bookings, payments, and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system.
- Prepare detailed travel quotes and invoices for clients.
- Collaborate with team members to share insights and improve sales strategies.
**Key Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in tourism, hospitality, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in travel sales or a similar role is advantageous.
- **Skills**:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in travel booking software and CRM tools.
- Customer-centric approach with problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of global destinations, cultures, and travel logistics.

**Work Environment and Schedule**:

- **Location**: Office-based, hybrid, or remote depending on company policy. Occasional travel for familiarization trips may be required.
