Sales Assistant

**Sales and Client Service**:
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, budget, and preferences. This includes travel style (adventure, relaxation, etc.), desired destinations, and duration of trip.
- Based on client input, research and recommend destinations, itineraries, transportation options (flights, cruises, etc.), accommodation (hotels, resorts, etc.), and activities.
- Create customized travel packages that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
- Provide clients with relevant information about destinations, including culture, customs, weather, and local attractions.
- Quote prices, handle booking arrangements (flights, hotels, tours), and process payments.
- Follow up with clients after their trip to ensure a positive experience and gather feedback.
**Business Development and Marketing**:
- Generate new leads and potential clients through various channels.
- Stay up-to-date on travel trends, new destinations, and industry offerings to effectively promote travel products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with travel vendors and tour operators to secure the best deals for clients.
**Other Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a strong knowledge of travel documentation requirements (passports, visas, etc.)
- Troubleshoot any travel issues that may arise (flight cancellations, lost luggage, etc.) and ensure client satisfaction.
- Track sales performance, meet set targets, and contribute to the agency's overall revenue goals.
- Attend travel industry seminars and conferences to stay informed about the latest developments.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Strong sales and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Active listening skills to effectively understand client needs.
- Negotiation skills to secure the best deals for clients.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in computer reservation systems (CRS) used in the travel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of travel destinations (a plus).
- The ability to speak additional languages is a valuable asset.
