**Responsibilities**:

- Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
- Conduct periodic reviews of Operational processes to ensure that the embedded controls are working effectively.
- Global Policies - contribute to initiatives to address policy compliance for Security Services. Contribute to and opine on content of ICG Ops control related policies and work with the Policy team. Influence changes where appropriate
- On an ongoing basis identify and focus on themes and trends, and partnering with Operations to ensure potential control issues are proactively addressed through the MCA and/or CAP processes
- Audit Learnings - conduct reviews at request of site management. Support the audit process including providing advice and practical assistance on audit issues including assessing Factual accuracy of issues and responses. Ensure Risks are appropriately dimensioned & consistent with prior audits
- Contribute to the advancement of the ICG Controls target Operating Model through participation in cross product projects
- Membership of control committees such as MPP, Fraud, deviations and creation of when need identified / or be involved in Global IS initiatives such as Encryption, MPP, Sanctions etc..
- Reporting - contribute to the timely & accurate reporting of key control metrics and areas of focus for the IS Global Controls Steering Committee, Regional Controls meetings, BRCC submissions, Ops Controls Forum. Ensure significant local issues are included in reporting
- CAP Management - work with Operations to monitor CAPs for timely closure (due < 90days); act as a source of advice on CAP wording and target dates and provide updates/reporting to stakeholders
- Oversight of losses & Near Miss through Loss Capture System ensuring event write up and reporting is accurate. Conduct review of losses and Near Miss events. Identify event themes and share with Operations
- Partner with other orgs/key stakeholders such as ORM, CSC, Product Risk, O&T, other risk groups, Compliance, Internal Audit
- Identify opportunities to continually enhance the controls environment and framework across APAC and drive implementation with the support of ICG Controls Senior management.

**Qualifications**:

- 8 to 10 years relevant experience (Securities Services Operations experience preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer focused with excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups
- Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to present a compelling case to influence others where appropriate
- Knowledge on Custody products is desirable but not mandatory

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
