We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Purchase

Department.

**Job Summary**:
The Purchase Department Assistant Officer will support the procurement processes,

ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required by Dewas

Metal Sections Limited. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, maintaining records,

and assisting in the smooth operation of the purchase department.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Vendor Management**:

- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers.

**2. Procurement Processes**:

- Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to internal departments.
- Follow up on orders to ensure materials are shipped and delivered on promised

dates.
- Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.

**3. Inventory Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse for timely stock

replenishment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

**4. Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of all purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis and supplier performance.

**5. Compliance and Policy Adherence**:

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.

**6. Communication and Coordination**:

- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth flow of information regarding

procurement needs.
- Handle inquiries from suppliers and internal departments.

**7. Administrative Support**:

- Provide administrative support to the Purchase Manager and other senior staff.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to purchasing activities.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,

Commerce, or a related field.
**- Experience**:

- 1-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the

manufacturing sector.
**- Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
**- Soft Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
