Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
South Indian Cuisine Expertise:
Prepare a wide range of South Indian dishes, including but not limited to dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, biryanis, and various regional specialties.
Develop and maintain an extensive menu of South Indian delicacies.
Ensure the authenticity and quality of dishes while adhering to traditional recipes.

Menu Planning and Development:
Collaborate with the culinary team to design seasonal and special South Indian menus.
Experiment with new ingredients and cooking techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Consider dietary restrictions and preferences of guests when creating dishes.

Food Preparation:
Prepare ingredients, spices, and sauces for South Indian dishes.
Oversee the cooking process to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection.
Maintain impeccable hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.

Quality Control:
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Address any issues related to food quality promptly and effectively.

Cost Management:
Manage kitchen resources efficiently to minimize food wastage and control costs.
Monitor inventory and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.

Training and Supervision:
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in South Indian culinary techniques.
Supervise the kitchen team to maintain a high standard of food preparation.

Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety standards.

Customer Engagement:
Interact with guests to understand their preferences and receive feedback.
Continuously strive to exceed guest expectations by providing exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Proven experience as a South Indian Chef, preferably in a hotel or fine dining restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of South Indian culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Strong culinary skills and the ability to create visually appealing and delicious dishes.
- Creativity and the ability to innovate with South Indian cuisine.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
