Kantar, a global leader in data, insights, and consulting, is seeking a driven Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring seamless payroll operations and compliance across our India operations.

As a Payroll Administrator at Kantar, you will manage end-to-end payroll activities, including full and final settlements and statutory payments for our India workforce. You will collaborate closely with HR Service Delivery, HR Business Partners, and our payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate monthly payrolls. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of accuracy and compliance.

What you’ll be doing
- Accurate Payroll Processing: Handle payroll for new hires, terminations, salary changes, ad-hoc payments, deductions, investment declarations, and Form 16. Ensure precision in all payroll activities to maintain employee satisfaction and trust.
- Tax Calculations and Compliance: Calculate payroll taxes such as income tax, profession tax, ESIC, and LWF. Prepare and file reports with relevant authorities to ensure full compliance with statutory obligations.
- Employee Records Management: Keep up-to-date records of all employees to facilitate smooth payroll operations and audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, mitigating risks and safeguarding the organization.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports for management and other stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
- Policy Monitoring: Oversee and enforce the organization’s payroll policies to ensure consistency and fairness.
- Query Resolution: Address and resolve queries from payroll agencies and employees promptly and effectively.
- Coordination with Finance: Work closely with the finance team on payroll accounting and funding requirements, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Audit Support: Assist in payroll audits by coordinating with finance and HR teams and implementing audit controls.
- SOP Management: Regularly prepare and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they reflect current practices and regulations.
- MKS Ticket Handling: Manage MKS tickets in SNOW, adhering to turnaround times to resolve issues efficiently.
- Payroll Induction: Conduct payroll induction sessions for new employees in coordination with the HR team, ensuring they understand payroll processes and policies.

The skills & experience needed as Payroll Administrator
- Experience: At least 5-6 years of experience in payroll administration, with in-depth knowledge of India payroll activities.
- Statutory Knowledge: Expertise in statutory tasks such as Provident Fund, Professional Tax, Gratuity, TDS, and Superannuation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Independence and Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to work independently in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
