IAMAI represents varied sectors such as digital advertising, digital entertainment, TravelTech, online gaming, digital payments, FinTechs, digital commerce, EdTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, LogisticsTech, etc.

**Fintech Convergence Council (FCC)**:
Established in 2018 with the objective of representing the perspectives of regulated financial service providers and fintech companies on a range of issues. Currently, FCC has a membership of over 100 individuals from diverse domains within the industry, including digital lending and segments such as P2P, MSME, Consumer loan, Asset Backed lending and Cards, wealth management, insurance, digital financial service providers, RegTech, AgriTech, and Bureaus. With the primary focus of the council to address the sector specific challenges faced by the industry and to serve as a platform for all stakeholders within the financial services (BFSI) ecosystem, fostering discussion on important issues, incorporating diverse perspectives, and promoting the growth of the fintech sector. FCC has played a leading role in advocating for public policies pertaining to the domains and has actively produced thought leadership content. One of its committees, the Digital Lending Committee, consists of industry representatives from peer-to-peer lending, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), consumer gold loan, and cards. This committee has engaged in advocacy efforts with policymakers and regulators at various levels.

As a Public Policy Intern at FCC, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for policies that foster innovation, competition, and responsible growth within the fintech industry. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and drive positive outcomes for the FinTech ecosystem.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Policy Research and Analysis**:

- Conduct in-depth research on legislative and regulatory developments impacting the FinTech sector
- Analyse proposed policies and regulations to assess their potential impact on the sector
- Identify emerging trends and anticipate future regulatory challenges and opportunities for the FinTech industry
- **Advocacy and Engagement**:

- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to promote policies that support the growth and sustainability of the fintech ecosystem.
- **Policy Development and Thought Leadership**:

- Collaborate with internal teams and knowledge partners to develop policy positions and recommendations based on industry best practices and stakeholder feedback
- Create, in collaboration with the knowledge partners and members, thought leadership content, including white papers, policy briefs, and blog posts, to contribute to public discourse and shape the narrative around fintech regulation
- **Memberships & Events**:

- Coordinate with the membership and sales team and drive membership for the sectors
- Coordinate with the events team in assisting successful execution of various events conducted across the year

**Qualifications**:

- Understanding of FinTech business models, products, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory issues into clear and concise recommendations
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Sectoral knowledge in any of the FinTech domains - Lending, Insurance, Wealth Management, Regtech, Agri, LegalTech is preferred
