**Position Title**: Public Policy & Committee Intern

**Location**: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

**Company Overview**: Established in 2004, the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) is a not-for-profit industry body and the country's only organisation representing the digital services industry with over 500+ Indian and multinational corporations as its members, which include established companies in diverse sectors of the digital ecosystem as well as start-ups. Its mandate is to expand and enhance the online and mobile value-added services sectors. It is dedicated to presenting a unified voice of the businesses it represents to the government, investors, consumers and other stakeholders.

IAMAI represents varied sectors such as digital advertising, digital entertainment, TravelTech, online gaming, digital payments, FinTechs, digital commerce, EdTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, LogisticsTech, etc.

As a Public Policy Intern at FCC, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for policies that foster innovation, competition, and responsible growth within the fintech industry. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and drive positive outcomes for the FinTech ecosystem.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Policy Research and Analysis**:

- Conduct in-depth research on legislative and regulatory developments impacting the FinTech sector
- Analyse proposed policies and regulations to assess their potential impact on the sector
- Identify emerging trends and anticipate future regulatory challenges and opportunities for the FinTech industry
- **Advocacy and Engagement**:

- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to promote policies that support the growth and sustainability of the fintech ecosystem.
- **Policy Development and Thought Leadership**:

- Collaborate with internal teams and knowledge partners to develop policy positions and recommendations based on industry best practices and stakeholder feedback
- Create, in collaboration with the knowledge partners and members, thought leadership content, including white papers, policy briefs, and blog posts, to contribute to public discourse and shape the narrative around fintech regulation
- **Memberships & Events**:

- Coordinate with the membership and sales team and drive membership for the sectors
- Coordinate with the events team in assisting successful execution of various events conducted across the year

**Qualifications**:

- Understanding of FinTech business models, products, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory issues into clear and concise recommendations
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Sectoral knowledge in any of the FinTech domains - Lending, Insurance, Wealth Management, Regtech, Agri, LegalTech is preferred
