**Job Title: Kitchen Hand (Assistant to Head Chef) with Hotel Management Degree**

**Overview**:
As a Kitchen Hand (Assistant to Head Chef) with a degree in Hotel Management, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the efficient operation of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will revolve around handling Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs), coordinating order preparation, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. Your education in hotel management will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in this role, contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Order Management**:

- Receive and process Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs) accurately, ensuring all details are correctly recorded.
- Prioritize orders based on timing, customer preferences, and kitchen capacity.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to coordinate the preparation and delivery of orders.
- Monitor order statuses and update KOTs accordingly to reflect any changes or modifications.

2. **Assistance in Food Preparation**:

- Assist the Head Chef and kitchen team in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, and portioning meats.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes provided by the Head Chef to maintain consistency in food quality.
- Handle basic cooking tasks under supervision, such as sautéing, boiling, and frying, to support the timely execution of orders.

3. **Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure that all workstations are clean, sanitized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and kitchen supplies and notifying the Head Chef of any shortages or replenishment needs.

4. **Customer Service and Communication**:

- Collaborate with servers and other restaurant staff to ensure accurate communication of order details and any special requests from guests.
- Respond promptly to any inquiries or concerns from servers regarding order statuses or specific customer requests.
- Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with colleagues and guests, representing the restaurant's commitment to excellence in service.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity to lift and carry moderately heavy objects, such as trays of dishes or containers of ingredients.
- Stamina to handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen environment.
