GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. **The current opening is within the**
**Treasury/CIO - Associate - Liability Strategy, Analytics and Modelling (LSAM) (India Team)**
**in Bangalore which forms part of the Corporate LOB within GF&BM India.**

The Treasury/Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) is responsible for firmwide asset and liability management, including:

- Managing the interest rate risk of the firm's four main lines of business (LOBs), primarily through a global investment securities portfolio
- Managing the firm's funding and liabilities through long-term debt and other funding sources, and managing short term cash deployment activities
- Managing the firm's liquidity risk, including deploying the firm's excess liquidity. Also responsible for compliance with both internal and regulatory liquidity requirements
- Managing the end to end risk-weighted asset (RWA) and capital measurement processes across the firm, ensuring efficient and appropriate management of our capital, and managing the Firmwide Capital Stress Testing process
- Managing the firm's structural foreign exchange risk
- Risk managing Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) on behalf of the Mortgage Bank
- Managing the company-sponsored retirement plan

Sitting at the very center of the firm, T/CIO directly influences the composition of the firm's balance sheet as well the activities of its four main Lines of Business (LOBs): Asset & Wealth Management (AWM), Commercial Banking (CB), Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) and Consumer & Community Banking (CCB)

**Role Description**
- Develop tools and model prototypes in support of ALM strategy team
- Support the creation of both ad-hoc and systematic tools for large dataset analytics
- Develop advanced data analytics to model liability behavior
- Evaluate and analyze firm's liability risks

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years hands on experience developing and managing databases and analytical tools
- 1 - 2 years of work experience in the finance/banking industry
- Strong academic background with a degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, economics or any other quantitative or technical background with a strong interest in finance
- Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries, procedures and general working knowledge of databases
- Strong programming skills: excellence in Python and Excel/VBA is a must
- Experience in quantitative modeling using Python or any other object-oriented-programming (OOP) language is a plus
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- A self-starter who is able to independently work in a fast paced, results driven environment
- Willingness to dive into details and dig deep into data to find answers to challenging questions
