**MCF Youth Project Coordinator**

**Contract Type**:Full time, in-person

**Location**: Karvenagar, Pune

**Hours**:Mon-Sat,10am - 6pm

**Practical requirements**: On session days, timings might _slightly _vary, depending on the school timings.

**Reports to**:Project Founder

**Job Brief**:
As the MCF Youth Project Coordinator, you will be spearheading specific projects and events to promote the overall personal and interpersonal, career, creative and social development of young individuals. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver the best possible services to the targeted youth community, ensuring the long-term viability and success of our youth-focused projects. Our youth-focused projects currently include:

- **Shala Life Skill Project **goes beyond textbooks to empower adolescents with essential life skills like analytical thinking, creative thinking, decision-making, sexual health and interpersonal relationship management that prepare them to navigate any situation they may encounter, particularly those associated with high-risk behavior.
- **Sakav Gender Project** is geared towards creating a world where all individuals, regardless of their gender, can thrive and enjoy equal rights and opportunities by raising awareness on and addressing gender-related issues through multifaceted information on sexual health, nutrition, addiction, laws, career choices, and power dynamics
- **We-care Substance Misuse Project**:The prevalence of new drugs, increasing numbers of affected individuals, evolving reasons for substance abuse, and the ease of access have created a tsunami-like wave that demands our immediate attention. Our goal is to provide knowledge, resources and support necessary to promote healthy behaviour, decision-making skills, and resilience.

To make the helpline project more effective, the Youth Coordinator is supposed to actively participate in activities like:
1. Awareness and sensitization

2. Outreach

3. Capacity-building

4. Networking and Partnerships

**What we’re looking for**:
**Educational Qualifications and Work Experience**:

- A Master’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Social Work, Development Studies, Psychology)
- 1-3 years of proven experience in project coordination, preferably in youth development, education, mental health, or addiction prevention programs; preferably within the NGO sector
- Strong understanding of the issues and challenges faced by youth, particularly in education, skill development, and addiction prevention
- Knowledge of project management principles, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation

**Skills**:

- Passionate and well-versed in adolescent holistic education
- Fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- The coordinator must have their own vehicle with a valid license and a willingness to travel often, including rural field visits
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using technology for communication and record-keeping (e.g., MS Office, Google Drive, virtual communication platforms, etc.)
- Experience in resource mobilisation, grant writing, and partnership development will be highly valued
- Energy and enthusiasm for the tasks assigned
- Demonstrated persistence, flexibility, and resourcefulness in the face of obstacles and shifting priorities
- Have confidence speaking in public

**Job Highlights**:
**1. Project Management**:Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Shala Lifeskill Education Project, Sakav Gender Project, and Deaddiction Programs, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

**2. Strategic Planning**: Conducting needs assessments and identifying gaps in MCF services in target areas. Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the projects based on the findings, in alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Designing course structures, methodology and deliverables - alongside the Project Founder.
