- Key Accountabilities
- Leads the production control department, including all planning, scheduling, inventory management, customer service and internal logistics functions
- Work with the other operations departments to ensure a high level of customer service while managing working capital levels
- Leverage Oracle MRP to implement robust business processes that allow for continuous improvement of materials management
- Manages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base and developing methods and procedures
- Develops long range planning initiatives for production control group, which include continuously evaluating the plant’s needs, capacities, capital, expenses, etc to meet growth goals
- Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, corporate and plan production departments to ensure on time delivery of products and team support
- Minimize interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices
- Assist in planning the operating budget for all areas of accountability
- Provides training and development opportunities for members of the Production Control team as required to sharpen the team’s performance skills presently and in the future
- Works on maintaining and developing network system which allows access to the plants manufacturing systems to streamline information and generate relevant reports

Education Qualification:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as mechanical engineering, business management, supply chain or finance

Relevant Experience:

- Five plus years of previous manufacturing / production control experience
- Experience setting strategic direction for a function and providing team leadership to accomplish functional objectives

- English
- Limited travel
