Mackay Marine is currently seeking an experienced **Marine Service Technician, **who is proficient in English and with the skills and qualifications below for our location in **Mumbai, India**. (_TJD)_
**_ Marine Service Technician Job Overview:_**
Under limited supervision, the Marine Service Technician (MST) install, service, and repairs electronic navigation and communication equipment on board commercial ships. MSTs test, adjust, and troubleshoot electronic components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas as well as load, update, and modify software. Marine Service Technicians use their knowledge of radio frequencies (RF), electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems and make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments and upon completion, compose a detailed service report.

**_Marine Service Technician Qualifications:_**
- A University degree or equivalent technical certifications.
- 3 years of experience as a MST, MET, or MSE in commercial shipping.
- **_Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English._**:
- Valid FCC General License with Radar Endorsement preferred
- GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License preferred
- Be physically fit. Work environment often involves carrying 9-14 kg., climbing ladders/masts, and exposure to weather.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
