Veritas is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE, SaaS) to help us manage infrastructure for our flagship products in the cloud. This position will require strong technical knowledge around infrastructure maintenance & management practices, provide inputs and insights into automating alerts and resulting maintenance actions and sharing useful practices to all our SRE teams.

The individual will possess strong experience in large enterprise environments containing petabytes of data and thousands of servers. They will also have strong scripting experience in a language such as Python or PowerShell. Development experience and exposure while not a mandate will be a welcome addition.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strong experience and focus on cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with security & performance monitoring tools.
- Strong experience and knowledge with Windows and Linux servers.
- Strong experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Familiarity with microservice architecture, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of secure cloud networking.
- Experience with Elasticsearch is a big plus.
- Infrastructure architecture and planning, especially in Azure.
- Infrastructure reliability and high availability.
- Security scanning and hardening.
- Improving infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and logging.
- Outstanding & proactive oral and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications
- MS/BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field of study with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Served on an operations team for a live SaaS environment with paying customers.
- 2 to 3 years working with containerized environments utilizing Docker/Kubernetes (EKS, AKS).
- 2 to 3 years experience deploying and working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- 2+ years SaaS pipeline experience.
- 2+ years managing cloud infrastructure and cloud monitoring tools
- Excellent skills in a scripting language such as Python.
- Solid understanding of build, test, deploy lifecycle of DevOps pipelines.

Additional Qualifications
- Coaching and collaborative mindset; enjoys sharing ideas and good practices.
- Experience in setting up and configuring monitoring and tooling for the purpose of SRE/DevOps of a SaaS product.
- Experience in New Relic and PagerDuty a plus.
- Conducts research, makes evaluations & recommendations and maintains a high level of expertise in systems software to ensure departmental operations and operating environment are of the highest quality.
- Ability to understand and perform Application debugging and collaborative work with several cross functional teams like Product Support and Engineering.
- Participates in employee development through training and technology transfer to existing technical support team members.
- On call rotation will be required (Approximately 1 week on call every 3-4 weeks)

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and experience troubleshooting these platforms: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, SMTP, Mail Relay, Outlook client configuration and PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of PCs and client devices.
- Knowledge of networks, Operating System, System monitoring, Security and technology infrastructure.
- Microsoft certifications such as Office 365 MCSA, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent are a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies, including, Intune, Teams, Azure Rights Management, Azure Active Directory and SharePoint is a plus.
