Job Title: GIS Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS Intern to join our team and support our GIS initiatives. The GIS Intern will work closely with our GIS specialists and other team members to assist in various GIS-related tasks, projects, and analyses. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in GIS technology, data management, spatial analysis, and project coordination within a professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the creation, maintenance, and updating of GIS databases and spatial datasets.

2. Conduct data collection, data entry, and data quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of GIS information.

3. Support GIS mapping and cartographic design efforts for projects, presentations, and reports.

4. Perform spatial analysis using GIS software tools to generate insights and solve spatial problems.

5. Collaborate with team members to contribute to GIS project planning, implementation, and documentation.

6. Assist in the integration of GIS data with other systems and platforms for data sharing and visualization.

7. Stay current with GIS industry trends, technologies, and best practices through self-learning and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, or other GIS platforms.
- Familiarity with spatial data formats, coordinate systems, and geodatabases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks.
- Prior coursework, projects, or internships related to GIS or spatial analysis is a plus.

**Salary**: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
