**Duties and Responsibilities**
**General Responsibilities**:
A. Review daily patient admissions/ discharges, data, bills, feedback, suggestions and complains in order to take swift and timely action
B. Review and monitor daily all data points like ALOS, occupancy rate, births/deaths, relevant medical data appraisal, patient outcomes, medico legal issues etc.
C. Undertake the role of Lead Appraiser for revalidation and appraisal of all Lab & Blood Bank staff
D. Develop an educational strategy for the Laboratory workforce
E. Attend daily, weekly and monthly meeting of the department; all HOD meetings; executive management review meetings; committee meetings etc.
F. Identify vacancies in laboratory, Blood Bank and liaison with HR department to recruit staff accordingly
**As Medical Administrator**
A Provide professional leadership and strategic direction to medical staff, fostering a culture which values continuing professional development and strives for excellence in the delivery of patient care.
B. Plan, organize, manage, and administer assigned areas of medical practice; implement and assist in the development of policies, procedures, and best clinical practices; evaluate goals, objectives, priorities, and activities to improve performance and outcomes; recommend and establish administrative controls and improvements; develop procedures to implement new and/or changing regulatory requirements; serve as a member of the management team.
C. Maintain the rota/ working of all registrars, DNB students, duty doctors, CMO; maintain a good relation with and liaison with all medical consultants; monitor the working of technicians and nursing through AMA
D. Direct and approve through subordinate managers the planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, training, and review of the work of a diverse workforce including registrars, duty doctors, technicians, nurses etc. ; act as a resource, and provide direction, guidance, and leadership to staff; advise on the more complex and sensitive concerns and issues; liaise between providers and management on problem-solving practice issues and mediating between interests in practice management.
E. Support the development of clinical pathways through advice on best practice
F. Direct clinical quality improvement projects in assigned areas of practice; review and evaluate adverse events, conduct root cause analyses, and monitor trends
G. Work in the capacity of accreditation coordinator; conveyor of quality assurance committee; review, monitor, implement quality standards on an ongoing basis; conduct mock drills, safety audits, and corrective actions on an ongoing basis; adhere to statutory compliance of the hospital
H. Work with the Senior Management Team to promote quality, safety and productivity throughout the organization.
I. Provide medical leadership to the organization’s emergency planning arrangements in conjunction with the Head of Operations.
J. Provide expert guidance to other departments, the general public, and/or outside agencies; represent the Hospital to the public, elected officials, other agencies, governments, and organizations including making presentations, participating in meetings, and conducting community outreach programs; investigate complaints and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
K. Analyze and review central and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in order to ensure compliance; conduct analysis on best practices and trends, and formulate and implement recommendations.
L. Perform other duties as assigned.
A. Develop, administer, assist, and monitor budgets; develop justifications for budgetary recommendations
B. adjustments; participate in forecasting additional funds for staffing and resources;
C. Coordinate the finalization of budgets to ensure timely submission of the department budget.

C. To cooperate with the hospital marketing team in promotional activities like camps and other community activities.
