**Purpose**

**This position is responsible for providing high quality legal advice to Management and teams within**

**the office on a full range of legal and challenging operational issues, address legal issues, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Relevant experience as a Legal**

**Officer, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industry. In depth knowledge of laws and**

**regulations related to chemical manufacturing, environmental compliance intellectual property,**

**contracts, and employment.**

**Responsibility**

**Legal Compliance: Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards**

**pertaining to chemical manufacturing, environmental safety, employment practices. Develop**

**and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.**

**Contracts and Agreements: Draft, review and negotiate various contracts and agreements**

**such as supplier contracts, distribution agreements, confidentiality agreements and licensing**

**agreements. Ensure all contracts are legally sound, protect the interest of company and**

**minimize potential risks.**

**Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits,**

**licenses, and certifications for the operation of the manufacturing facility. Monitor compliance**

**with regulations related to chemical manufacturing, hazardous material handling waste**

**disposal and workplace safety address any intellectual property infringements or disputes.**

**Legal Advice: Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on wide range of**

**legal matters, including employment law, health, and safety regulations. Assist in resolving**

**legal disputes and claims.**

**Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.**

**Conduct legal risk assessment and provide recommendations to management to minimize**

**legal exposure.**

**Compliance Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal**

**and regulatory compliance matters, emphasizing the importance of adhering to legal**

**requirements and promoting ethical work environment.**
