**About the Role**

Reporting to the Programme Lead, Nutrient Enriched Crops, you will support the formulation and implementation of effective strategies for farmer mobilization and higher uptake of the program components among the target communities.

The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery, implementation, and monitoring of the project, specifically focusing on tracking the progress and status of project activities, which relate to farmer’s mobilization, collectivization, implementation of the agricultural program activities, and rationalization of context specific good agronomic practices. You will also play a coordination role in GAINs cross-functional project teams and supporting the consolidation of relationships with partners and stakeholders.

The postholder will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders within their assigned project components and ensuring that project outputs and activities are successfully implemented within approved plans, budget, timeline, and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities include**
- Creating linkages between farmers, seed systems and agro dealers for farm inputs and tools
- Implementing digital tools working with farmers, agrodealers and aggregators e.g. farmers registration digital tools, crop/seed traceability tools and other digital agriculture services such as agricultural extension and digital financial services
- Supporting initiatives on connecting farmers to markets, e.g. aggregators, retailers, wholesalers food processors and other traders
- Managing the project schedule, activity plan and planning milestones, supporting the tracking of progress and deliverables from project partners and implementing countries
- Coordinating and scheduling project review meetings at regular cycles and preparing documentation of findings and recommendations in PRISM (GAIN’s Project Information System Management)
- Helping the project manager to monitor risks and develop contingency plans to respond to emergencies. Making an assessment and reviewing the status of projects and providing recommendations to the project manager on approaches and procedures for project implementation
- Building strong partnerships with civil society, INGOs, government entities, private sector and other organizations
- Developing appropriate narrative reporting and financial accounting documentation for the Project Manager’s review in order to meet GAIN and donor’s requirements
- Facilitating accurate project budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that activities costs are kept within budgets.
- Ensuring timely monthly project reporting on program progress achieved, program plans, changes in direction and challenges encountered

**About You**

A Bachelors’ degree in business management, international relations, sustainable development, economics, development studies, agricultural sciences, peace and conflict studies or related field is required. You will be IT literate with excellent MS Office skills and with advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages and experience in handling of web-based management systems.
