FUGA works at the forefront of music distribution technology, connecting its clients with digital service providers like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube while helping them get the most from their music; whether that's with award-nominated label services, industry-leading revenue accounting, or using FUGA's suite of best-in-class products.
We are looking for a Regional Representative to expand our presence in South Asia, with a focus on India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. You will be responsible for growing FUGA's distribution, marketing, sync, royalty accounting, neighbouring rights and business development services in this region; and be the primary point of contact for a roster of content owners (record labels, distributors, etc.) and Digital Service Providers (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube Music, etc.) who have offices or local representation in South Asia.
Please note, this role is to start in August 2023.
**What You Do**:
1.) Meet regional business development targets based on business plan:
- Create sales pipeline and actively match FUGA's products and services with prospects in the market(s)
- Client retention and maximising existing clients' set-up, including upsells and carrying out business reviews
- Perform demos of our products and services to existing clients as well as to prospects
- Manage the contract negotiations with clients and prospects
- Draft complex commercial proposals
2.) Oversee our local client base and help to coordinate internally to ensure the highest quality of services is being delivered to clients based in South Asia:
- Ensure that clients are receiving best in class service
- Proactively provide insight, advice and creative strategic planning support to clients in respect of their releases, catalogue and revenue
- Ensure monthly team meeting and monthly reports are escalated to the Leadership Team
- Contribute to the development of FUGA's product and service offerings through reporting requirements and requests back to internal teams
3.) Digital Accounts Strategy:
- Partner with playlist, editorial, marketing and experiential teams at DSPs to develop coordinated on-platform and off-platform campaign elements
- Secure the most favourable positioning for artists and releases with DSPs
- Understand and exploit the unique positioning and needs of each DSP and develop global strategy and relationships with each DSP
4.) Represent and champion FUGA in South Asia, including within personal network as well as at local conferences and events
**Who You Are**:
- Solid experience in the digital music distribution space
- Excellent knowledge of the South Asia music markets with a focus on India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
- Passionate and knowledgeable about music and culture
- Demonstrable experience with marketing and selling products/ services/ releases
- An extensive network of contacts in the region to represent FUGA and generate sales leads
- A strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, and experience in coordinating with streaming and audience engagement platforms, labels, managers and artists on campaigns
- Experienced at negotiating contracts and commercial terms
- Experience with working across different time zones and communicating across multiple organisational levels.
