**Position Overview**:
The Import and Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of inventory planning, procurement, import documentation, logistics coordination, and compliance with relevant regulations. The role ensures the timely and efficient importation of goods, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams.

**Role Description**
- Conduct monthly inventory planning and forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Place purchase orders with international suppliers based on forecasting.
- Update import order details, including order date, readiness, pickup, departure, arrival, remittance due, and Bill of Entry (BOE) details.
- Scrutinize and approve documents from suppliers (Proforma, Tax Invoice, Packing List) and Clearing House Agents (Bill of Lading, Checklist, BOE).
- Manage import remittance and regularization of BOE.
- Generate E-way bills for inland transportation.
- Obtain updates from suppliers and Clearing House Agents (CHA) regarding shipments.
- File documents related to each shipment, including SWIFT copies, debit advice, insurance policies, and tax invoices.
- Oversee the renewal of various insurance policies (marine import, marine inland, fire, burglary, electronic equipment, machinery breakdown, office package, directors and officers, commercial general liability).
- Send monthly declarations for marine inland and marine import to insurance companies.
- Handle claims for damaged products.
- Perform costing for each shipment and book import purchases in Tally.
- Maintain CDSCO license details and coordinate with management for timely license renewal.
- Maintain monthly import purchases from suppliers.
- Maintain and share discounted products working sheet with management as required.
- Handle and coordinate shipments via FedEx, DHL, UPS.
- Request sea and air freight quotes from CHA and calculate freight percentage for each shipment (Hazardous and Non-Hazardous).
- Share agent details with suppliers and coordinate booking confirmation and pickup.
- Inform the accounts team about duty and import payments, ensure sufficient funds are available, and prepare RTGS for transfer.
- Send shipment invoices to the warehouse team for label preparation and coordinate with logistics once labels are ready.
- Prepare and send reports as required by the manager, including marketing materials (miniatures) report to the accounts team for GST reversal.
- Coordinate with bank personnel regarding remittance queries, BOE submission, and regularization.
- Request production and expiry dates from suppliers, complete the ADC sheet, and submit it to customs.
- Manage payment and logistics operations, and record import purchases in Tally.
- Check the Icegate portal for BOE visibility on IDPMS and coordinate with the Icegate team if not visible.
- Cross-check invoice and GRN quantities and pass stock transfer journal vouchers for any discrepancies.
- Review warehouse bond documents prepared by the logistics team and provide additional documents if required (in case of ex-bond shipment).
- Coordinate with the bank for the closure of old BOEs from previous financial years.
- Send MRP details of new products to the warehouse manager.
- Request product details from suppliers, including information on marketing materials.
- Ensure accurate stock tallying.
- Provide outstanding details as required.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience in import and logistics management.
- Proficiency in Tally and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
