As a Bakery Chef at Plant Forward Creations (PFC), you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide gourmet dining experiences inspired by New York cuisine. You will perform our bakery operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity in our baked goods. From bread and pastries to cakes and desserts, you will use your expertise to craft delectable treats that delight our customers and their furry companions. **Responsibilities**:
- Perform the bakery operations at Plant Forward Creations (PFC), ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity in baked goods.
- Develop and execute innovative recipes for bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts inspired by New York cuisine.
- Oversee the production process, including ingredient preparation, baking, and finishing, to maintain consistency and excellence in all products.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create pet-friendly dining experiences that promote healthy lifestyles and meaningful connections between pets and their families.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace at all times.
- Train and mentor junior bakery staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with manager to ensure availability of ingredients for bakery operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in bakery techniques, ingredients, and equipment to drive innovation and excellence in product offerings.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal promotions, providing insights and recommendations based on customer preferences and market trends.
- Develop and implement vegan-friendly baking recipes and techniques, catering to customers with specific dietary preferences and contributing to the company's commitment to plant-forward cuisine.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bakery Chef in a reputable establishment, with a focus on artisanal baking techniques and pastry craftsmanship.
- Strong knowledge of bakery ingredients, equipment, and techniques, with the ability to develop and execute creative recipes.
- Passion for pet-friendly dining experiences and a commitment to upholding the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
- Creative flair and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
