**Position Overview**:
The **Nutraceutical Scientist** will lead the research, formulation, and development of novel nutraceutical products that support wellness through natural ingredients. This role requires expertise in nutrition science, biochemistry, and natural product formulation, with a strong focus on product efficacy, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, regulatory, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality products that meet consumer needs and regulatory standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Product Development & Formulation**:

- Lead the research and development of nutraceutical products, including dietary supplements, functional foods, and nutraceutical beverages.
- Formulate novel, safe, and effective products that use natural ingredients, vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other bioactive compounds to promote health and prevent disease.
- Develop and optimize formulations to ensure stability, bioavailability, and efficacy.
- **Research & Innovation**:

- Conduct scientific research to support the development of nutraceutical products, including literature reviews, clinical studies, and laboratory experiments.
- Evaluate the therapeutic effects, bioavailability, and safety profiles of active ingredients, and stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in nutraceuticals and natural products.
- Collaborate with academic institutions, contract research organizations (CROs), and other partners for in-depth research studies or clinical trials.
- **Quality & Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure that all formulations adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines, such as FDA, EFSA, GMP, and other global standards.
- Work with regulatory teams to prepare necessary documentation, including safety assessments, ingredient sourcing, and product claims.
- Conduct stability studies, shelf-life testing, and other product evaluations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- **Data Analysis & Reporting**:

- Analyse data from scientific experiments, clinical trials, and product evaluations to assess the safety, efficacy, and consumer benefits of nutraceutical products.
- Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and presentations to communicate research findings to internal teams, stakeholders, and external collaborators.
- **Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support**:

- Work closely with marketing, regulatory affairs, and quality control teams to support product launches, marketing strategies, and packaging claims.
- Provide technical expertise in product labelling, formulation claims, and ingredient sourcing to ensure alignment with brand and market positioning.
- **Product Testing & Efficacy**:

- Coordinate with third-party laboratories or clinical research teams for product testing, human trials, or efficacy studies.
- Analyse consumer feedback and work with the R&D team to optimize formulations based on market trends and product performance.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- A PhD or Master’s degree in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Certifications or additional training in nutraceutical development, dietary supplement formulation, or natural product development is highly preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or natural products industry, with a focus on research, formulation, and product development.
- Proven experience in designing and conducting clinical trials or scientific research studies.
- Experience with regulatory compliance for dietary supplements and nutraceuticals (e.g., FDA, EFSA, GMP).
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of human nutrition, bioactive compounds, and their role in health, disease prevention, and
