**Job Title : Principal - Scrum Master**

**The Purpose of This Role**

Be the Scrum Master for 1 or 2 squads for the Enterprise Technology business unit. You will be the guardian of the process and artefacts with focus on leading teams through continuous improvement. You will engage in coaching the Squads, Squad Leads, Chapter leaders, DevOps implementation, Build and Deployment strategies and other technical agility aspects for your teams. You keep the teams focused on their sprint goals while staying connected to their releases, product lines and the company’s goals. You protect your teams’ ability to self-manage while encouraging them to fail, recover, learn fast and (ultimately) deliver.

**The Value You Deliver**
- Help the Scrum Team / Squad adhere to Scrum theory, practices, and rules
- Lead and coach the squad, organization and individual in Scrum adoption
- Guide the squads and organization on how to use Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Coach Leaders to play their roles with higher efficiency
- Guide the squads on self-management to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile / Scrum frameworks
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the squad(s) and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable and comfortable pace for the team and organization
- Enable or guide the squads to remove impediments by providing the required the required guidance
- Work with the Squad Members and the Product Owner to negotiate the minimum viable product for delivery
- Build a trusting and psychologically safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
- Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog.
- Provide support to the squads as a true leader (leading by example, teaching from the back of the room, coaching etc.)

**The Skills that are Key to this role**

**Technical / Behavioral**
- Experience in technical agility - DevOps, CI / CD, branching and merging strategies, deployment strategy
- Knowledge and / or experience with widely successful Agile engineering best practices like: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Burn-down, metrics and measurements
- Knowledge and experience in learning via Gamification
- Understands the various Scrum Master stances
- Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burn-down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs)
- Hands-on experience in technology teams
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, Scrumban
- Experience in working with other squads and teams at a scaled level
- Experience in using Agile enabled tools - JIRA, JIRAALIGN

**How Your Work Impacts the Organization**

Modeling agile behavior to support Enterprise Technology move further towards an agile / digital way of working. Creating and sustaining a culture within squads and Product Areas (Tribes) that reflects Fidelity and Agile leadership values and behaviors. Ensuring consistent use of agile practices and standards (governance practices, collaboration model, etc.) Building capability, and coaching to the use, of agile tools (e.g. Jira, Jira Align etc.) for leaders and associates.

**The Expertise We’re Looking For**
- ~12 - 14 years of overall experience with 4-5 years as a Scrum Master.
- Graduate
- First Level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM etc.)
- Advanced certifications like ACSM, PSM II (preferred)

**Location**: Bangalore - Manyata / EGL, Chennai

**Shift timings**:11:00am - 8:00pm
