Purchase Assistant

As a Purchase Executive in the Electronics Manufacturing Industry, your role will encompass managing the procurement activities that are integral to the production and operation of electronic components and devices. Your experience and skills in procurement will contribute to ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services while adhering to cost efficiency and industry standards.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Electronic Components Sourcing**:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for electronic components, raw materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and sourcing requirements.
Ensure the availability of required components to meet production schedules.
- **Supplier Management**:Establish and nurture strong relationships with electronics component suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to optimize costs and ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or delivery issues.
- **Procurement Process**:Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders for electronic components and materials.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase requests.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- **Quality Assurance**:Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased components meet required quality standards.
Implement quality checks and inspections for incoming materials.
- **Inventory and Stock Control**:Monitor inventory levels of electronic components and materials.
Collaborate with inventory teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- **Cost Management**:Engage in cost analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives in procurement.
Identify opportunities to consolidate orders and optimize shipping and logistics costs.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams about technical requirements.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and other relevant standards.
- **Reporting and Analysis**:Generate reports on procurement performance, lead times, cost savings, and other relevant metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:Work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with production schedules.
**Qualifications**:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement within the electronics manufacturing industry, preferably 1-2 year.
- Familiarity with electronic components, specifications, and industry suppliers.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to understand technical requirements.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for electronic components.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
