Your Role and Responsibilities

NSX Engineer is a professional responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of VMware NSX solutions within an organization's network infrastructure. NSX is VMware's network virtualization and security platform, which allows for the creation and management of virtualized networks, including virtualized switches, routers, firewalls, and other network services.

Responsbilities
- Able to handle Level 2 support for network issues.
- Involved in all escalated cases and helping customer to resolve the same
- Maintain & update documentations.
- Attend governance meeting with customer.
- Preparing RCA for escalated issue.
- Manage support cases to enable faster resolution.
- Ensure knowledge sharing across the team and enable best practices.
- Ability to deliver against deadlines.
- Ready to work on 24/7 basis.
- Driving cases and delivery targets with OEM Must possess good customer handling skills.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5 years or above experience in network Software defined networing, Virtulization and NSX.
- Strong understanding of network components like routing, switching, Load Balancer & Firewall.
- Understanding of micro segmentation.
- Should have knowledge of VxLAN/GENEVE protocol.
- Understanding of vCenter, vSphere VDS, ESXi host
- Understanding of overlay network
- Hands on knowledge of NSX components like EDGE, DLR, T0 and T1
- Familiar with below technologies in networking and strong knowledge and Hands on experience on Network virtualization as mentioned below.
- Routing - Products - Cisco Routers, Models - ISR 44xx Series, ASR xx Series, Catalyst xx Series.
- Technologies - WAN Technology, BGP configuration, Path Selection, FHRP.
- Switching - Products - Cisco, HP, Arista, Dell
- Models - Nexus 9K, 5K, Catalyst C9200, C3850X,
- Wireless - Product - Cisco
- Model - Controller - 9800, 5508, AP- 1800,2800,1700, 91XX
- Load Balancer - Product - F5 and Citrix
- SD WAN - Product - Cisco, FortiGate, Juniper
- Firewall - Product - Checkpoint, Fortigate. Palo Alto

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Pref - VCP - NV certification.
- Qualification: Graduation B E / B Tech or equivalent.
