**About Role**:
Since 2015, our Schools Program has focused on introducing coding and 21st-century skills to students in grades 8 and 9. By 2019, we expanded to 8 states, reaching over 200,000 students across 850 schools, emphasizing STEM education, career counseling, life skills, and gender sensitization. In Karnataka alone, we impact 42,000 students in 320 schools through projects like _Model Schools Pathways_, _EcosySTEM (Morgan Stanley)_, and _EcosySTEM (Kantar)_.
Key initiatives include:
- Building teacher capacity for digital literacy, STEM mindsets, and effective pedagogies aligned with NEP.
- Running STEM clubs and digital content sessions in schools.
- Engaging stakeholders like school authorities, parents, and volunteers to create a supportive ecosystem, especially for girls in STEM.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
The Program Coordinator will anchor collaborative school projects in Yadgir, Tumkur, Haveri, Davangere, and Chitradurga districts, with a 70-30 focus on Karnataka projects and the Model Schools Pathways Project. This role offers the chance to shape innovative projects while gaining exposure to all aspects of program management.
**1. **Program & Budget Management
- Develop state plans with measurable goals, ensuring quality implementation.
- Oversee partner engagement and annual planning with budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct regular program reviews with a systems-change approach.
- Ensure compliance with donor reporting timelines and audit requirements.
- Monitor financial forecasts and manage program budgets effectively.
- Regularly visit the field to interact with stakeholders and evaluate program impact.
2. Advocacy
- Build and maintain relationships with government education departments.
- Drive policy-level changes and multi-stakeholder dialogues via forums like JPRMs.
- Collaborate with the communications team to amplify project updates.
- Represent Quest Alliance in state and local forums, raising the organization’s profile.
- Share insights with stakeholders through quarterly reports and joint workshops.
3. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
- Anchor the monitoring process, ensuring quality data collection and analysis.
- Conduct field visits to validate program outcomes and document case studies.
- Lead internal and external reporting, leveraging insights for program improvement.
- Oversee baseline and endline evaluations for projects.
4. Team Building & Development
- Foster a culture of open communication, critical thinking, and professional growth.
- Provide clarity on team roles, aligning individual goals with organizational strategies.
- Develop second-line leadership within the state team.
- Facilitate cross-learning opportunities with other teams and projects.
5. Systems & Processes
- Ensure adoption and effective use of monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Review and integrate data insights into team and partner reviews.
- Streamline sub-granting tools and processes for consistency across projects.
