Job Description for Cafeteria Cook
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes & cyclic menu.
- Developing new menus, recipes, and ordering.
- Assists with food cost control, menu planning, purchasing, and ensures food quality guidelines are followed.
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of food service staff in preparing and serving main dishes, meats, salads, desserts, and baked goods using ovens, stoves, and other kitchen equipment with mínimal waste.
- Perform a variety of tasks to prepare food to be cooked and served, including cleaning, chopping, weighing, and measuring ingredients.
- Ensure the dining room, food preparation areas, and equipment used in preparing food are kept in clean, sanitary, and in proper working condition.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in the preparation and serving of food.
- Sanitize food preparation equipment and food preparation areas.
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies.
- Checking plated food for proper presentation and completeness and ensuring food temperature requirements are met.
- Assisting with the bussing of tables and stocking of work stations.
- Oversees and directs the kitchen staff.
- Manage product storage, maintenance and rotation activities to avoid any damages or spoilages.
- Maintains a calm composure during the periods of difficulty and hustle and bustle.
- Adhere to food safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description for Commi
- Making recipes as per the instruction of the Chef.
- Ensure that the highest degree of hygiene and cleanliness of all equipment and utensils are maintained in Kitchen.
- Continental food knowledge preferred.
- Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie.
- Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification.
- Wash and peel fresh fruits, vegetables and also able to weigh, measure and mix ingredients on correct proportions.
- Have general knowledge of cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces.
- Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
- Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.
- Preparing basic sauces & curries as directed by the Chef de Partie.
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
- Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted items.
- Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
- Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Parties’ instructions.
- Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Assists in providing on the job training & development of new cooks

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.70 per month
