Job Summary:
The Production Engineer will play a vital role in overseeing the manufacturing processes of roofing sheets, C/Z purlins, and roof accessories. This role involves optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and implementing process improvements to meet or exceed production targets. The Production Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and uphold our commitment to delivering top-notch products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Plan and manage the production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing downtime and production costs.
Monitor the manufacturing processes to ensure they are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with the design and R&D teams to assess the feasibility and manufacturability of new products and recommend improvements to existing products.
Implement and oversee quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and adherence to specifications.
Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Work with maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns and production delays.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization through continuous improvement initiatives.
Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new processes or technologies.
Maintain accurate production records, including data on materials usage, production output, and quality metrics.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to roofing sheet and purlin manufacturing.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a production engineering or manufacturing role, preferably in the metal roofing and purlin industry.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment used in sheet metal fabrication.
Proficiency in using engineering software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and production planning software.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on product quality and process efficiency.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Ability to lead and motivate production teams while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
