Location : Pune, MaharashtraJob description :TCS is helping in the recruitment process for the India affiliate of one of TCS's strategic US based Healthcare customers Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune and is seeking NOC Engineer who is responsible for supporting, correcting, and implementing routing/switching changes in the network, dial plans (e.g., ACD/IVR) in voice or wireless networks; and administering endpoints in network video. Unique challenges this position will face include maintaining client-specific network, wireless, and video systems, specifically CISCO routing and switching, CISCO/Nexus voice, Aruba, and DAS (med center systems). Experience in managing, operating, and monitoring a 24/7/365 NOC for enterprise network monitoring, incident escalation and response.

Essential Responsibilities :
  • Provide 24x7x365 monitoring of the Network Infrastructure (Voice/Video Systems, Wireless and LAN/WAN, Security, Proxy devices)
  • Act as an L1 support engineer for Network Infrastructure
  • Responsible for monitoring, and resolution of system alerts
  • Troubleshoots layer 1, layer 2 and layer 3 issues. Supporting and L2 and L3 teams
  • Helps to monitor, sort, and document items that come into the NOC email box with others on the team
  • Vendor Coordination (Hardware replacements, ISP Circuit issues, Cabling & Touch services support teams)
  • Meets timelines to drive the delivery of appropriate, sustainable, and prompt solutions.
  • Supports stability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems (e.g., systems, applications, network, databases, storage, security) by monitoring systems to identify problems, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists technical and project team members to resolve system problems and application-specific issues.
  • Escalates identified issues, risks or problems to lead administrators according to processes.
  • Supports communications with product users and suppliers to share information, identify opportunities, resolve problems, prioritize customer requirements, and maintain continuous improvement through customer feedback.
  • Participates in the installation, upgrade, or decommissioning of designated systems, products, and infrastructure.
  • Assists with application-oriented administration and technical support for production and non-production environments.
  • Supports vendor support activities, as appropriate.
  • Creates documentation of new and existing system configuration and procedural information.
Minimum Qualifications :
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in network administration/engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care or related field and Minimum of 3 years working in IT or operations. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Experience of managing, operating, and monitoring a 24/7/365 NOC for enterprise network monitoring, incident escalation and response
  • Experience with network monitoring tools, Telco and vendor coordination
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless technology, security products (firewall, proxy), load balancers, cisco voice related services, incident and change process, network health checks.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • 3 years system administration experience.
  • CISCO certification(s) (e.g., CCNA*, CCNP, CCIE)
  • Wireless network certification(s) (e.g., CWNP, CCNA-wireless*, CCIE-wireless)
  • Network voice certification(s) (e.g., CCNA-voice*, CCNP-voice).
  • Network video certification(s) (e.g., CCNA-video*, CVNS).
  • Good communications, customer service oriented (US Geography)
