(parent law firm of Trademarkia) is expanding its Life Sciences practice to support clients developing cutting-edge pharmaceutical and AI-driven drug discovery innovations. As the largest trademark filing law firm (known for Trademarkia.com) and a leading patent prosecution firm representing major companies like NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, and VMware, we are building a specialized Pharmacology & AI-Driven Drug Development team.
With AI transforming pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and drug efficacy modeling, our clients need expert scientific support to secure strong patent protection, navigate regulatory pathways, and accelerate drug development.
Role Description
We are seeking a Ph.D. Pharmacologist with expertise in drug mechanisms, AI-assisted pharmacological modeling, and clinical pharmacokinetics.
This role is ideal for candidates with:
Strong knowledge of drug-receptor interactions, ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion), and toxicology.
Experience with AI/ML applications in drug efficacy, safety prediction, and dose-response modeling.
Exceptional scientific writing skills, particularly in patents, regulatory submissions, and technical reports.
You will work in a hybrid capacity from our Bangalore, India office and travel a few times per year to Phoenix, Arizona or Mountain View, California to collaborate with our U.S. team and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacology & AI-Assisted Drug Development
Conduct research on AI-driven PK/PD modeling, drug safety prediction, and efficacy testing.
Analyze drug interactions, dose optimization strategies, and preclinical/clinical study data.
Stay up to date with advancements in AI-powered high-throughput screening, in silico trials, and biomarker-driven drug response modeling.
Intellectual Property & Technical Documentation
Draft, review, and edit patent-related documentation on drug formulations, mechanisms of action, and AI-driven pharmacology innovations.
Translate complex pharmacological data into clear, concise reports, white papers, and regulatory submissions.
Stay current with USPTO guidelines on AI-assisted drug development and FDA regulatory requirements for drug approvals.
Collaboration with IP, R&D & Regulatory Teams
Work alongside patent attorneys, clinical researchers, and pharmaceutical developers to document new drug discoveries.
Participate in invention disclosure meetings to ensure accurate IP filings and compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide strategic consultation on patenting AI-assisted pharmacology techniques.
Publication & Thought Leadership
Publish in peer-reviewed journals on pharmacology, AI-driven drug discovery, and predictive toxicology.
Develop educational materials, white papers, and knowledge-sharing resources for clients and internal teams.
Client Engagement & Strategic Consultation
Interface with biotech startups, pharmaceutical companies, and AI-driven drug development platforms.
Provide guidance on best practices for documenting and patenting drug mechanisms, formulations, and clinical findings.
Support regulatory compliance efforts for emerging drug development innovations.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
1-5 years of post-Ph.D. experience in pharmacological research, drug development, or AI-driven drug modeling.
Strong background in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism, and toxicology.
Experience with AI/ML applications in drug discovery, PK/PD modeling, and predictive ADMET assessments.
Understanding of pharmaceutical patenting and regulatory pathways (USPTO, FDA, EMA guidelines preferred).
Strong scientific writing skills, with a track record of patents, peer-reviewed publications, or regulatory submissions.
Ability to collaborate across disciplines, including chemistry, biology, AI, and IP law.
Willingness to travel to the United States (Phoenix, AZ or Mountain View, CA) a few times a year.
