Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

to join its leadership team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping and executing its financial strategy to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.

The role is based in Gujarat, the CFO will report to the Head of the Institution.

Key roles and responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the institution's mission and objectives.

Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to the Head of the Institution and Board of Directors, backed by thorough analysis and projections, to support informed decision-making.
Lead financial planning initiatives to foster institutional growth, enable new programs, and drive innovation.

Financial Operations and Reporting

Oversee comprehensive financial management functions, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and audits to ensure effective financial control and resource allocation.
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analytical insights, to provide transparency and supporting informed decision-making.
Continuously optimize financial systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and financial standards within the education sector.
Implement and uphold robust internal controls to safeguard institutional assets and ensure financial integrity.
Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the institution's long-term stability.

Resource Allocation and Cost Optimization

Direct resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Spearhead cost-optimization initiatives to drive improved financial performance sustainability.
Manage funding sources, grants, and donor contributions with transparency and accountability.

Team Leadership

Inspire, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster a high-performing and collaborative culture.
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence within the financial function.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with academic and administrative leaders to align financial decisions with educational priorities.
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with donors, investors, and financial partners to support the institution's goals.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate would bring the following:

At least 20-22 years of experience in Finance and Accounts, with a minimum of 10 years in CFO roles.
Proven expertise in leading financial operations within academic institutions, universities, or not-for-profit organizations.
A demonstrated track record of driving financial excellence and implementing industry-leading practices to achieve
the institute's goals.
Experience in managing complex financial structures, ensuring compliance, and delivering sustainable growth.
The candidate must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
