Role OverviewWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Power BI UI/UX Specialist who can take our dashboards and reports to the next level.
Unlike a generic dashboard developer, this role focuses on crafting visually compelling, user-friendly, and intuitive BI experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design principles, data storytelling, and Power BI customization, ensuring that every visualization not only conveys insights but also engages and delights the end user.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports with a strong emphasis on aesthetics, usability, and storytelling.Apply UI/UX best practices to ensure dashboards are intuitive, easy to navigate, and visually appealing.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into elegant visualization solutions.Customize visuals, themes, layouts, and interactions in Power BI to create impactful user experiences.Optimize dashboard performance while maintaining high design quality.Stay updated with the latest visualization trends and Power BI features to continuously improve design standards.Required Qualifications3+ years of proven experience designing UI/UX for Power BI dashboards and reports.Strong portfolio showcasing visually compelling and user-centric BI dashboards.Proficiency in Power BI customization, including themes, bookmarks, and advanced visuals.Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and design principles.Experience in data storytelling—turning complex datasets into clear and engaging narratives.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or similar) for prototyping BI dashboards.Knowledge of other BI platforms and visualization techniques.Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience working in agile teams with hybrid/remote setups.What We OfferCompetitive Compensation: Contract-based role with competitive pay for part-time engagement.Flexible Work Setup: remote working arrangements.High Ownership: Be part of a core team where your design expertise directly shapes the product experience.Collaborative Environment: Work closely with product leads, developers, and business stakeholders.Growth Opportunities: Potential for transition to full-time employment, based on your performance and impact.How to ApplyIf you're passionate about combining UI/UX design with Power BI to create dashboards that inspire action, we'd love to hear from you Send your CV, relevant Power BI design work sample to lulugan@celestialbi.com.
