Wintel system administrator

Wintel System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related Windows infrastructure. This relates to all technology, to include workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software. Cloud Support, Cloud infrastructure Monitoring in Azure/ AWS/ G42, Azure/ AWS resources knowledge (VMs, VMSS, AKS, Database ), VM Refresh, , Deployment Pipeline & Change Management, SecurityKey Responsibilities:Familiar with Windows Cluster, File Server, DFS, OS Performance troubleshooting Experience building, managing, and upgrading VMware virtualization environmentsTroubleshooting, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptionsProactively monitoring system performance and capacity planningRemote Management of servers through ILO, DRAC and RSAGood experience in IT operations, Windows Administration, Windows Server Patching, Vulnerability Remediation.Resolving Incident tickets, remote System Administration of Windows servers, resolve Level 1 & 2 supportApplying critical Microsoft Patches on servers, Management of OS related Security and Vulnerability management OS hardening and monitoring.Upgrading Driver, Firmware, HPSP deployment on physical serverCollaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processesAdministration of Windows based Servers (Win 2 K12/2 K16/2 K19/2 K22Management of Server Hardware (Chassis, Blades and rack Servers) with Hypervisors and Windows OSWork closely with application support & security teams to implement up-to-date patch levels and application specific feature configurationPerform advanced problem determination and root-cause-analysisBasic Knowledge of Networking concepts (LAN, WAN, Firewall, Proxy Servers, Routers etc)Understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, etc.Support on-prem and cloud servers, including security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting.Support cloud infrastructure models, including Private, Public, and Hybrid.Ability to configure VMs and Web Applications through Azure Web Portal and Command Line Interface through Power ShellMust have:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experienceCertified Administrator AZ-104, AZ 900Experience 7 to 10 year as Wintel, Cloud administratorMCSD (Azure Solutions Architect) or MCSE (Cloud Platform and Infrastructure)Microsoft MCSA in Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016Microsoft MCSA in Office 365 and Share Point OnlineMicrosoft Azure Administrator AssociateITIL foundation certificationMinimum Experience:5 YearsStrong Experience in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Windows Server, Azure, AWSStrong experience in hybrid on-premises to Cloud, private and multi-cloud and workload migrationPrevious experience in a help desk support and troubleshooting role.Previous experience supporting virtual servers and solving network issues.Previous experience in a 24x 7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment a plus.Previous System administration and support experience (Windows operating systems; experience with mixed environments a plus).Previous experience with Kubernetes and experience with networking subnetting, routing and firewalls will be an added advantage.Previous experience with Azure based deployments or other cloud platforms a plus.Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and managing Microsoft Cloud Services such as Azure, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Exchange Online, Intune, One Drive, Share Point, and TeamsDemonstrated experience installing, configuring and managing Windows Server 2012 - 2019 and Active Directory environmentsJob-Specific Skills:Previously works as Windows AdministratorExpertise in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMWare)Expertise in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365,Strong understanding of Internet protocols, LAN/WAN networking, Micro segmentation, firewalls, WAF and load-balancersUnderstanding of working on any virtualization environmentUnderstanding of high availability configurations, DR, and backup solutions for Cloud servicesUnderstanding of monitoring and alerting within multi-cloud environmentsSolve problems quickly, effectively communicate solutions and associated risksAbility to clearly articulate concepts to people with varying technical backgroundRecommend appropriate technology for tool selectionHands on experience with MSSQL and/or other DatabasesFamiliarity with VMWare and SAN management and conceptsKnowledge in Power ShellSolid Networking knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMPStrong problem solving and communication skills
