JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a collaborative and experienced individual to join our team as a business partner for our India entity. The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate seamless operations by coordinating with legal, human resources, and finance experts. This individual will work closely with the Business Management Team at Headquarters. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships, and the capacity to navigate a variety of operational activities for our India entity.


KEY RESPONSIBLIITIES

Facilitate Collaboration:

  • Act as a bridge between internal stakeholders and external legal, HR, and finance experts.
  • Coordinate meetings and discussions to address operational challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure a continuous flow of information to Business Management Team at Headquarters.


Legal Liaison:

  • Work closely with legal experts to ensure compliance with Indian laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate the review and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Communicate legal requirements and updates to relevant stakeholders.


HR Liaison:

  • Collaborate with HR professionals to implement policies and procedures in line with Indian labor laws.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting open job requisitions, screening candidates, facilitating interview process, and closing on offers.
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding activities for new hires and consultants, coordinating with all necessary teams to ensure smooth process.
  • Assist in handling employee relations issues and ensuring a positive work culture.


Financial Liaison:

  • Coordinate with finance team to manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the India entity.
  • Assist in monitoring financial performance and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Facilitate communication between finance and other departments to align financial goals with operational objectives.


Operations Support:

  • Provide operational support by facilitating communication and coordination between cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in collaboration with experts from legal, HR, and finance.
  • ensure alignment of operational initiatives with Business Management Team at Headquarters, supporting overall business objectives.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. MBA is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a collaborative role with a minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management in India.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and facilitate discussions among diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with Indian labor laws, corporate regulations, and financial practices.
  • Ability to understand legal, HR, and financial concepts and communicate them effectively to non-experts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Zoho, SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
  • Certification in project management or change management is preferred.
