Role & responsibilities

Project & Deployment Management

  • End-to-end project planning, scheduling, and coordination for wireless and wired network deployment based on business requirements.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of project milestones with adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with planning and design teams for implementation and execution at JC (Jointing Chamber) level.
  • Execute trenching, ducting (HDD/OT/OH), chamber (MH/HH) installation, route marker placement, OFC blowing, and splicing.
  • Supervise Drum Test and Duct Integration Test (DIT).

Operations & Maintenance

  • Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of more than 280 KM OFC network.
  • Conduct OTDR testing, LSPM, and span loss analysis for fault detection and rectification.
  • Maintain Dark Fiber routes and monitor network health using JDSU, EXFO OTDRs, and Splicing Machines (Fujikura & Fitel).

Vendor & Team Coordination

  • Vendor management for civil and optical execution activities.
  • Coordination with LCOs for aerial and underground construction activities.
  • Training and development of contractor manpower for field execution.
  • Material forecasting and fulfillment for deployment through coordination with warehouse and commercial teams.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Ensure inventory management and stock reconciliation.
  • MIS reporting for all deployment and maintenance activities.
  • Preparation and review of documentation for Civil/Optical Acceptance Testing (AT).
  • Conduct HOTO (Hand Over-Take Over) with O&M teams for both civil and optical works.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Telecom/Electrical/Civil).
  • Proven experience in OFC/FTTH project execution and maintenance.
  • Hands-on expertise with OTDR, LSPM, Splicing Machines (Fujikura 40S/50S/60S/80S), and related OFC testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of FTTH architecture and home network integration.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and third-party contractors.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
  • Good understanding of ROW regulations, cost control, and quality audits.
