Senior AccountantChandan Retail Pvt. Ltd. is a leading retail company based in Dhekiajuli, Assam, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to manage its financial operations and compliance activities. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of Indian tax laws and exceptional proficiency in Tally.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting functions, including:Accounting and Financial Management* Managing the complete day-to-day accounting cycle up to finalization of accounts.* Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals using Tally ERP/Prime software.* Handling bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.* Preparing MIS (Management Information System) reports for senior management.Tax and Regulatory Compliance* Ensuring 100% compliance with all GST (Goods and Services Tax) regulations, including timely and accurate filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3 B, and annual returns.* Managing TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) compliances, including calculation, deposit, and timely filing of quarterly returns (Form 24 Q, 26 Q, etc.) and issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16/16 A).* Handling all aspects of Income Tax (IT) compliance, including preparation of computation of total income and filing of corporate/business income tax returns.* Staying updated with changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to the retail sector.Audit and Internal Control* Complete handling of internal and statutory audits, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.* Preparing all necessary schedules, reports, and documentation required for a smooth audit process.* Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.Required Skills and Qualifications* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.* Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a retail or similar fast-paced business environment.* Expert-level proficiency in Tally ERP/Prime is mandatory.* In-depth, practical knowledge of GST, TDS, and IT compliance.* Strong understanding of accounting principles (Indian GAAP).* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Job Details* Location: Dhekiajuli, Assam* Salary Range: ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month (Commensurate with experience and expertise)* Employment Type: Full-Time* Reporting To: ManagementChandan Retail Pvt.
