Senior Accountant Chandan Retail Pvt. Ltd. is a leading retail company based in Dhekiajuli, Assam, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to manage its financial operations and compliance activities. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of Indian tax laws and exceptional proficiency in Tally. Key Responsibilities The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting functions, including: Accounting and Financial Management * Managing the complete day-to-day accounting cycle up to finalization of accounts. * Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals using Tally ERP/Prime software. * Handling bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. * Preparing MIS (Management Information System) reports for senior management. Tax and Regulatory Compliance * Ensuring 100% compliance with all GST (Goods and Services Tax) regulations, including timely and accurate filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns. * Managing TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) compliances, including calculation, deposit, and timely filing of quarterly returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.) and issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16/16A). * Handling all aspects of Income Tax (IT) compliance, including preparation of computation of total income and filing of corporate/business income tax returns. * Staying updated with changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to the retail sector. Audit and Internal Control * Complete handling of internal and statutory audits, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors. * Preparing all necessary schedules, reports, and documentation required for a smooth audit process. * Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Required Skills and Qualifications * A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a retail or similar fast-paced business environment. * Expert-level proficiency in Tally ERP/Prime is mandatory. * In-depth, practical knowledge of GST, TDS, and IT compliance. * Strong understanding of accounting principles (Indian GAAP). * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
