Design Verification Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Verification Strategies : Collaborate with design engineers to understand design specifications and develop comprehensive verification plans.
  • Create and Maintain Testbenches : Use UVM to create modular, reusable testbenches that can verify various aspects of the design.
  • Power-Aware Verification : Utilize UPF to define and manage power domains, states, and strategies, ensuring designs meet power consumption targets.
  • Automate Verification Processes : Write Python scripts to automate repetitive verification tasks, process simulation results, and integrate verification tools.
  • Execute Verification Plans : Perform simulation-based verification, analyze results, debug failures, and work with the design team to resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Document verification processes, create test plans and reports, and communicate verification status and results to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficient in Verilog for hardware design and verification.
  • Strong experience with UVM for building reusable, scalable verification environments.
  • Knowledge of UPF for low-power design verification.
  • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Tools : Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with System Verilog for advanced verification techniques.
  • Familiarity with formal verification methods.
  • Knowledge of FPGA design and implementation.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
