Our company is driven to find the next big thing, and we’re seeking a new creative head to help us in that mission. Leading a team of thinkers and doers, the creative head will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business acumen to the role, promoting our company and those of our valued clients. We’re looking for an experienced manager of people, someone who can inspire others while taking our creative output to a new level as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and be a prolific generator of dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
Objectives of this role
- Lead and review the work of the creative teams for all web, print, and marketing collateral
- Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small and large projects, harnessing brand design, copy, art, and digital technology
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
- Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
- Analyse brand tracking, market trends, consumer needs, and the competitor landscape
- Meet budget requirements by forecasting and managing expenses
Responsibilities
- Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion.
- Collaborate with account executives to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements
- Direct and motivate teams of art directors, illustrators, copywriters etc. to help them use their talents effectively
- Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas
- Write and design unique and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ needs as well as our own
- Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team
Required skills and qualifications
- Ten years of relevant experience, with five or more years as a creative head/lead in an agency or corporate setting
- Working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
- Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
- Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print
- Proven ability to develop successful concepts
- Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives
