Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with expertise in life insurance or pension products to lead our operations team in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our products and services to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, developing and implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of operations staff responsible for processing new business, claims, and customer service inquiries
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to data protection, anti-money laundering, and financial conduct
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across departments
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop reports to present to senior management
Develop and maintain relationships with third-party providers, such as administrators and custodians
Provide training and support to operations staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
Manage budgets and resources to achieve operational efficiency and cost savings
Identify and mitigate operational risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies
Ensure accurate and timely payment of claims and benefits
Maintain accurate records and reports, including those related to customer interactions, claims processing, and product performance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, finance)
At least 5 years of experience in operations management within the life insurance or pension industry
Strong knowledge of life insurance and pension products, including policy administration, claims processing, and customer service
Proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze data and develop reports to present to senior management
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to life insurance and pension products
Experience with industry-specific software applications (e.g. policy administration systems, claims processing systems)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
