Company Website : DescriptionAs a Business Development Manager at The Oceann, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market reach and introducing our products to maritime clients globally. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building partnerships, and driving adoption of OceannVM, OceannMail, and OceannZero to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:Market Expansion:Identify and pursue new business opportunities and emerging markets for OceannVM, OceannMail, and OceannZero within the global maritime sector.Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and new technological advancements in fleet management and communications.Develop an in-depth understanding of potential markets and customize the sales approach accordingly.Client Engagement:Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key maritime stakeholders, including ship owners, brokers, charterers, and operators.Understand the unique challenges and needs of your clients and demonstrate how The Oceann’s products can provide solutions to improve operational efficiency and profitability.Engage in proactive sales activities, including cold calling and attending industry events to generate leads and introduce new business opportunities.Draft and execute targeted email campaigns aimed at generating interest and nurturing leads for OceannVM, OceannMail, and OceannZero.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime sector, including C-level clients.Strategic Sales Planning:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and operations to develop and execute targeted sales strategies.Support product positioning and competitive advantage in the marketplace, ensuring that the sales efforts align with broader marketing goals and strategies.Identify market trends, customer pain points, and opportunities for new product development.Product Advocacy:Serve as a subject matter expert for OceannVM, OceannMail, and OceannZero; advocating for their adoption and positioning them as essential solutions for the maritime industry.Lead product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for prospective clients, clearly articulating the value proposition of our solutions.Act as the voice of the client internally, providing feedback to product and development teams based on client insights and industry needs.Revenue Growth:Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets through new business acquisition and expanding service offerings with existing clients.Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and successful long-term client relationships.Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet revenue objectives.

Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 0-1 years of experience in business development, sales, preferably in the maritime, shipping.Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of maritime industry trends and digital transformation in fleet management and communications.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.Mindset: Results-oriented with a proactive and adaptable approach to addressing client needs.
