Head Quality

POSITION DETAILS : Associate Director -Quality Assurance and Quality Control He/she would be senior member of Design & Build Team responsible for defining/preparing Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan for all major projects being undertaken; and will work with diverse set of individuals and groups within and outside the organization, to ensure that the same is executed effectively across all those projects, meeting all the performance parameters and quality norms. Some key responsibilities include: Conceptualizing, preparing and releasing Organization wide and Site specific Quality Assurance and Quality control Plan for all the projects being undertaken/assigned, right from design stage up-to handover to end-user; and to ensure effective review/oversight & monitoring for its proper implementation/execution across all assigned sites. Standardize the QA/QC process through automation and drive improvements to deliver higher safety and quality while reducing schedule and cost. He/she would continually seek ways to introduce means, methods and technologies to reduce the amount of time & cost it takes to commission a tranche of capacity without compromising on the quality of the commissioned project by various means like 1st- time-right etc. Maintain a knowledge database and ensure passing over of lessons learnt across all projects. Routine activity would include: o Work with Design & Project teams, consultants, contractors, contracted 3rd party QA/QC and Client to prepare detailed QAP, Procedures, Standards, Reporting & Documentation template/framework including identification of Key KPIs o Ensure/Verify that appropriate requirements are specified in the Tender (Contractor/Supplier) to meet overall objective including requisite standards/Codes/Specifications/Work-methods etc. o Manage QA/QC resources assigned to the project and oversee all QA/QC related activities in co-ordination with Project team and design consultants/contractors o Timely establishing and effectively deployment of PQP, Inspection and Testing Plan, Method Statements, Forms and Formats at site to control the relevant processes. o Ensure Maintenance of requisite records like of routine quality inspection works, Approved Mix designs, filled checklists, MTCs, etc. in coordination with contractors/suppliers , Project team and other stakeholders o To carryout Kick-off meeting with the contractor, to ensure QA/QC aspects shall be clearly communicated & complied-to during construction phase, and ensure QA/QC Terms & Conditions of Contract are followed by Contractor o To submit MIS report on Quality system establishment and implementation. o To conduct regular Quality walk (including daily site walk) to identify process/ product issues and take necessary preventive/corrective action and maintain suitable status trackers. o To identify all quality risk , carry out risk assessment/mitigation plan with respect to quality and ensure its implementation o Periodical Quality audits o Timely closure of audit outcomes and share Audit Compliance report with necessary corrective/preventive actions o Review and approve the Quality Procedures submitted by Contractors for various works. o Ensure that requisite Mock-ups are carried out for all the critical activities and approved before start of the work. o Coordinate all quality & commissioning related correspondence with the client representatives. 4. DESIRED PROFILE: EDUCATION QUALIFICATION BE/B-Tech in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical or similar Preferably have suitable ANSI/NETA/ISO and other Professional Certification in the field of quality management like CQA/CQE/Six-sigma-black-belt/ISO9001 Int. or Lead auditor etc. WORK EXPERIENCE (Minimum years of experience required) 15-20 years' experience in managing QA/ of large EPCC projects of 200Cr+ with at least 3 years in Data Centre industry Good Client facing and Contractor management experience Preferably should have working experience of MS Project and other Microsoft tools, AutoCAD etc. SKILLS (Technical aspects) Candidates should have a good understanding of DC Infrastructure including Civil Construction, installation/testing and commissioning of MEP services, Safety and Security system etc. Ability to interact and collaborate with the engineering, procurement, construction and program/project management teams & contractos/suppliers Experience working with Physical and Virtual teams & ability to work in an environment of Cross-group collaboration and matrix responsibilities structure of multiple simultaneous projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to present to multiple layers of management.
