About Relic: Relic is the world’s first and only Augmented Reality video streaming platform – made for the Meta Quest 3 and soon Apple Vision pro. We are a high growth technology company disrupting home entertainment. Relic enables filmmakers to transform 2D videos into immersive AR videos by adding spatial effects and animations that appear in the viewer’s physical surroundings as they watch these videos.
Job Description: As a Unity Designer, you will be working directly with Relic's founders and clients in the filmmaking industry to transform 2D short films into AR films. The role requires immense creativity and vision as animators are tasked to bring the film to life by designing the environment and spatial effects that would interact with the viewer's surroundings as they watch the film on their VR device. For example, if the viewer is watching an animated film: what color palette should her room be, what objects will she be able to interact with, and how will light bounce off of her walls in accordance to the film? We expect that animators are adept with game engines and have the creativity to make these films as immersive as possible without detracting from the story being told.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality, high-fidelity 3D animations using Unity, focusing on both creativity and technical precision.

Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Unity, including a portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D animations.
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Blender, and other 3D animation tools.
- Experience in VFX and other tools for creating complex 3D animations.
- Proven experience working in AR/VR environments.
- Passionate about creating new kinds of content and pushing the boundaries of animation.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
