As the

Product Application Team Lead

for industrial fluids for the metalworking and metals sector you are the lead in the country playing a key role in our goal of exceeding customer expectations. You will be an expert in our customers manufacturing process and translating customer needs into innovative product solutions in coordination with the R&D, sales and marketing team, while leading the team to ensure their development and performance.

What will you do?Provide advanced technical support to the frontline sales forceHandle all technical product and application related problems referred from the fieldIdentify and understand customer needs, translating the objective to the appropriate function in the companySelect appropriate products from the portfolio in accordance with business needs and product line strategyPropose product modifications within agreed criteria in applicable cases, in order to fulfill customer specific needs or requirementsCo-ordinate with other functions to determine and establish technical feasibility and product cost as input for the final offer.Hold presentations to customer on technical/product related subjects in co-operation with sales/key account manager.Manage the process of product development between customer and R&D.Develop and implement strategic business plans based on product portfolio leading to generation of growth, increase market share and achieve company sales and gross margin targetsEnsuring safety practices & safety rules for self & teamCompliance to all strategic initiatives like Product rationalization, Product rebranding, updating product data master etc

What are we looking for?Chemistry, production or relevant engineering degree (PhD / Masters)10+ years’ experience of customer facing technical role in any metalworking or metal related sector such as steel, aluminum, lubricants, coolants, metal cleaners, greases, corrosion protective fluids, coatings, etc.5+ years experience of leading and developing teamsAnalytical & Problem solver – Identifies problems and uses available resources to identify a solutionStrong presenting and business development skills. Ability to lead meetings / presentationsCustomer Focus – Dedicated to meeting customer expectations and requirementsReceptive to Change – Can switch gears/change direction quickly based on new information or developmentsEffective Team Player and Collaborator – Contributes expertise and strengths at all levels of interactionProficient in English (written & spoken)Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, excel, PowerPoint), JDEdwards (desirable)
