Sterlite power has two business units: Global Infrastructure and Global Products & Services (GPS).
Our GPS business unit consists of the products sub-unit, which manufactures and supplies a wide range of products including high performance power conductors, optical ground wire ("OPGW") and extra-high voltage ("EHV") cables; and Specialized EPC services sub-unit, which provides bespoke solutions for the upgrade, uprate and fiberization of existing transmission infrastructure projects.
Under GPS business, encompasses four businesses:
- Overhead Products - Three (3) state of the art Manufacturing Facilities - Silvassa (Pipariya & Rakholi), Jharsuguda with Conductor Capacity of 150,000 MT and OPGW capacity of 20,000 km to serve global markets.
- Power Cables - One (1) state of the art Manufacturing Facility in Northern India with Power Cables ranging from 6.6kV to 400kV with 8000 km cables supplied globally. Further, end to end EPC solutions of HV & EHV Cables up to 400kV
- Specialized EPC services - for 9,500 ckm of uprate & upgrade of conductors, 34000 km of OPGW replacement in live line condition performed in 108 critical corridors for 27 states in India.
Our PCB Products Business is one of the leading manufacturers of MV, HV, EHV cables in the country. This is a rapidly expanding business with focus on expanding in EHV segment and other types of cables like Rubber, Solar & accessories. We are also coming up state of art manufacturing facility in Vadodara in 2025.
About the Role
To drive regulatory approvals pertaining to CERC and State regulations aligning DOT requirements to facilitate business acquisition as per compliances
Responsibilities
- Analyzing regulatory matters from Power and Telecom Sectors and drive necessary policy interventions at Telecom and Power.
- Drafting of communication to Regulatory bodies like CERC, CTU/STU, DoT, CEA/MOP.
- Time to time follow up from respective Internal and external stakeholders for petition related matters and ensure satisfactory results by coordination.
- Able to understand matters related to power transmission line utilization for telecom infrastructure service purpose.
- To formulate new licensing changes in Telecom and Power bills as per requirements of business.
- Serves as a liaison between regulatory bodies and operating divisions of the company.
- Creating framework on NLD/DCI/ IP1/non IP1 to IP1 business with State utilities.
- Depth understanding of IP1/NLD/ISP License Compliances and Nodal point responsibilities.
- Prepares and submits applications and reports to applicable regulatory agencies.
- Responds to requests for information from regulatory bodies.

Engineering Graduate from any reputed University & or MBA in Finance/Operations
