Network Security Engineer

Location: NYC Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Need strong Fortinet / Fortigateexperience

Job Description

  • Provide support for all corporate and enclave firewallsapplication delivery controllers RADIUS RSA.
  • Develop and implement firewall changes for supportednetworks
  • Evaluate requested changes forpossible CyberSecurity Threats
  • Provide 3rdlevel support to troubleshoot networking issues.
  • Interact with supportcustomers to resolve issues andprovide solutions as required.
  • Provide offhour support as operational needsdictate. The candidate must be available for rotating weekly oncallshifts (24 hour oncall support) with other members in thegroup.
  • Lead and / or manage projectsof various priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Provide Design Consultation for projects for firewallnecessity and configuration.
  • Develop andexecute disaster recovery and test plans for all supporteddevices.
  • Prepare support documentation for thefor 1st and 2nd level support groups.
  • Documentand/or revise administration procedures for security configurationoperation and administration of devices.

Must have skills:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fieldwith at least 35 years work experience in an enterprise ITenvironment.
  • Authentication services (AAApolicies / Radius and RSA authentication connections)
  • Firewall image upgrade planning andimplementation
  • IDS/IPS profiles
  • Imaging and restoration of firewalls from rootlayer
  • IPSEC VPNs with between local Cisco andFortiGate firewalls as well as external dissimilar vendor modelfirewalls/routers.
  • Logical and virtualinterfaces for networks sharing security levels.
  • SNMP monitoring and alert profiles
  • The candidate must be knowledgeable of InformationSecurity networking best practices and be able to evaluate designrequests for Cyber Security threats.
  • Thecandidate must have extensive experience with firewalladministration upgrades backups configuration anddiagnostics.
  • The candidate must possessexcellent project management technical writing and oralcommunication skills.
  • The candidate mustpossess excellent technical skills particularly regarding NetworkDiagnostics Firewall operations and deployments (Cisco and/orFortinet mandatory).
  • This individual mustdemonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment managecomplex projects represent the organization in dealings withcustomers and vendors and render sound businessdecisions.
  • VIPs and NAT for externalinterfaces
  • Vulnerability review ofhardware
